What I Wore - Mixing Prints

I don't know about you, but since blogging, pinteresting (is that a word?) 

and participating with link-ups like 'What I Wore', I've been a bit more daring with my outfits. 

It's just been so inspiring to see how others dress,

sometimes I see something and try to recreate the look with items I have in my closet.

I especially love mixing patterns and prints now, something I probably wouldn't have done before.

I've had these striped wedges for two years 

but haven't worn them that much because I just had no clue how to style them. 

While perusing through my closet this morning trying to find something to wear I grabbed my new favorite mint pants and my navy polka dot shirt and straight away my striped wedges popped into my mind.

I saw an outfit come together and when I tried it on I was pleasantly surprised that it worked.

I love when that happens.
